Wayne Fillingim is a 1995 Graduate of Fairhope High School. Mr. Fillingim studied at University of Mobile and the University of South Alabama, where he graduated in December 2005 with his Bachelor of Music with Music Education concentration. He earned the degree of Master of Music from the University of South Alabama in the Spring of 2015 after transferring 12 hours of Graduate credit from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mr. Fillingim was inducted into the prestigious American School Band Directors Association.
In addition to his duties at Fairhope, Mr. Fillingim is the Director of Music Ministries at Kingswood United Methodist Church in Mobile.

Meredyth Petersen is the former Director of Bands at Gulf Shores Middle School in Gulf Shores, Alabama where her bands consistently received Superior ratings at state and regional assessments.
Mrs. Petersen was elected to membership in the prestigious American School Band Directors Association in June of 2017. She currently serves as the District Vice-Chairman for District VII of the Alabama Bandmasters Association. In addition, she has served on the Music Selection Committee for the Alabama Bandmasters Association since 2015. Mrs. Petersen is active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator of bands throughout the state of Alabama. In September 2017, Mrs. Petersen was named Teacher of the Year at Gulf Shores Middle School.
Mrs. Petersen received her Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music Education from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. She received her Masters in Music Education, from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in 2013.
