Fairhope Jazz Band

HISTORY

The Fairhope High School Jazz Ensemble has a long tradition of excellence. The band has competed in many festivals, including the Loyola Jazz Festival at Loyola University, the University of South Alabama Jazz Festival, and the University of Mobile Jazz Festival. The band has consistently received superior ratings in festivals for more than 25 years.  Our students consistently receive scholarships based on their abilities learned in the jazz ensemble.

STUDENT HONORS

Each year, the FHS Jazz Ensemble students audition for the Alabama All-State Jazz Ensemble. Our program has been represented well since the inception of the All-State Jazz Band. Additionally, we have placed students in the Jazz Band of America, a national festival held annually in Indianapolis, Indiana.
