The Fairhope High School Buccaneer Band has a rich tradition of excellence. The band has received overall superior ratings for more than 50 years. The Marching Band is the most visible performing ensemble at FHS. The band presents competitive and entertaining performances at pep rallies, football games, parades, civic functions, special events, marching contests, and festivals. Membership is by audition only and band camp participation is required. The band has performed in many national events including the St. Patricks Day Parade in Chicago, Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C., and most recently, the nations oldest Thanksgiving parade, the Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, PA in 2017 alongside Daphne High School Band, Robertsdale High School Band, and Baldwin County High School Band.
